Want a holiday with a bit of everything? Here are seven reasons why you should visit the Curious County this year.

1. Food, glorious food
Lobster. Duck. Asparagus. Strawberries. Samphire. Beer. Gin. All kinds of world class food and drink await in pubs, bars, restaurants, farm shops, cafes and tearooms across Suffolk. We highly recommended wearing clothes with an elasticated waistband.

2. The great outdoors
Balance out your food intake with one of many intensive outdoor activities. Water babies should try sailing, kayaking or paddle boarding at Alton Water or Lackford Lakes, whilst cycling enthusiasts should check out the routes in Thetford, Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests.

3. Artsy fartsy
Benjamin Britten, Maggi Hambling, Ed Sheeran... all kinds of artists, actors and musicians are fans of Suffolk – not least for the world class facilities of Snape Maltings, the thriving theatre scene, and famous festivals such as Latitude and Folk East.

4. Celeb spotting
Ed Sheeran isn't the only big name to grace the Suffolk seaside. Bill Nighy, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have all been known to pop by during the summer too.

5. Endless choices
Whatever your budget, you'll find somewhere great to stay in Suffolk. So no need to panic – you can bring your family, friends and pets along for the holiday fun too. Check out our great range of accommodation here.

6. Beaches, beaches and more beaches
Aldeburgh, Felixstowe, Thorpness, Southwold, Lowestoft, Walberswick – take your pick. Great beaches also mean we're home to probably the best fish and chips in the world. Ever.

7. Family friendly days out
Easton Farm Park, RSPB Minsmere, Go Ape and Orwell River Cruises are great days out for all ages. There are hundreds more sights and attractions on the doorstep – just tweet us @Suffolk_Places and we'll send some more your way.
