Summer may be over but fish and chips is a year-round thing. Here are the six we recommend.

Flora’s, Dunwich
Fresh fish and fresh peas (ideal for those of you who can’t stand the mushy ones).

Starfish, Ipswich
Massive portions of firm, flaky fish and crispy chips at a reasonable price. What more could you want?

Aldeburgh Fish and Chips, Aldeburgh
The infamous spot on the High Street celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Just don’t be put off by the mammoth queues – we promise it’s worth the wait.

Needham Chippy, Needham Market
A classic chippy. Popular with the locals for its generous portions and cheap prices.

The Codfather, Sudbury
Admittedly, we chose this one for the name. But it does have a well-deserved great reputation.

Fish Dish, Felixstowe
Crispy battered fish and chips overlooking the pier – a much needed selling point for Felixstowe.
